These are a few poems;
some I wrote
some others wrote,
Please be nice to them!

Short Poems

keep your juvenile scheme
until your lover’s rhyme is done.
Let loyalty be more beautiful than any light,
but dream thoughts of your own. -kr

blue hurricanes never rest;
skies turn black,
oceans toss;
but it persists,
until its own wild energy
defeats its reign of power. -kr

Forever
if the spring went dry,
it would be there.
if the great redwoods withered,
it would be there.
if heat parched the land,
it would be there.
if the sun went black,
it would be there.
and if reality ceased...
its music would remain alive
forever. -kr

Long Poems

The Invaders
floating through the nothingness
of time
all alone
zero to divert their concentration
upon the slightest tiny movement
senses hone
sure to destroy civilization
alas, free will
is now nonexistant
nothing could possibly be worse
unless a second time we made a hole through 6 dimensions...
but no; this is the first.

Again a little bug like us encounters walls of fire;
gone in an instant -
- all that’s left is one bright flash
2 million have been destroyed to “clear the air”

The poor kid we saw yesterday
the one making 300 an hour
is now in the chains of the enemy
blinded by so much power

Never again will the same mistake be made,
no holes will be ripped in the fabric
space, and time, are all the same
first understood by the one who won this trick

Our own devlish greed
you could’ve seen in our eyes
as the steward flipped the switch
but until the moment after
we could not see our dimise
as it crept from behind a tiny glitch

The program had malfunctioned,
dave in engineering said,
and it never really would’ve worked at all,
and had it been for one small mess,
four doors down the hall,
we wouldn’t be at some alien’s beck and call! -kr

Green Eyes
when i look into your eyes,
i don't see apple pies or clear blue skies.
when i look into your eyes,
the only thing that's clear to me
is the countless covered plies
closing up your heart

i see tears, i see pain,
i see every stormy rain ,
'cuz the only thing that's worth thinking now
is to wonder what you were doing there in the first place.

i see the running, i see the horrors,
i see all the endless closing doors,
and i start to wonder what the he** is going on
how could everything go wrong

when i look into your eyes,
i don't see apple pies or clear blue skies.
when i look into your eyes,
the only thing that's clear to me
the single thing that's clear to me

when i look ino your eyes,
i see what's inside

when i look into your eyes
...i see mine. -kr

The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
had worn them really about the same.

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way lead to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference. -Robert Frost

Songs

I wrote a song with a friend of mine, but I gotta get his permission 1st before I put it here, so be patient! However, my friend katie made up a cute little song on a project we did last summer on the revolution, it's kinda like this:

We've got this stupid king
his name is king george
he's really not that smart
cause ya' know, his brains are porridge:

Chorus:
so,
down with king george's statue!
down with king george's statue.

his heart's made of lead,
so let's bash in his head,
down with king george's statue.
Chorus
He gives too many taxes,
so let's go after him with axes!
down with king george's statue.
Chorus

and et cetera and et cetera, I can't remember any more of the lyrics, but if you ask Katie she might just know the guitar chords for it; maybe she'll sing it for you(!).
